Appeal on behalf of the Multiple Sclerosis Society by Miss Emily MacManus C.B.E. ,
Contributions will be gratefully acknowledged and should be addressed to Miss Emily MacManus, The Multiple Sclerosis Society, [address removed]
The Multiple Sclerosis Society was founded in December 1953 to co-operate with the medical profession in the encouragement of research into the cause and cure of multiple (disseminated) sclerosis. It is setting up research fellowships in universities and hospitals to assist in finding the cause, the cure, or at least a remedy for the disease. It promotes the mutual help, comradeship, and welfare of those who have multiple sclerosis, and it now has branches for this purpose in Scotland, Northern Ireland, and many counties of England.
