Gulliver: Behold! What is this concourse of little people? They are dragging something. (He laughs.) Upon my soul! It is my hat!
(The crowd, dragging the great hat, advance singing, accompanied by Handelian light music)
'We have found a great black substance
Lying on the ground.
Very oddly shaped is the object we have found.
Larger than his Majesty's bedchamber.
The edge is flat, the centre's round.
We have stamped upon it!
We have stamped upon it!
And it is hollow!
And we humbly conceive
That the thing which we have found
Must be something that the great Man Mountain
Left lying on the ground!
