A series of eight broadcasts introduced by DR. ANNE Ross
3: The Celtic World
The classical writers of Greece and Rome noted down the habits of their Celtic neighbours and observed the ways in which they diffei ed from themselves. From their writings, and from the evidence of archaeology and the Celtic literatures we gain a convincing picture of Celtic life around the beginning of the Christian era, while the persistence of the Celtic tradition is borne out by the comments of modern travellers in Celtic regions yiich as Dr. Johnson.
