Star Movie: Bing Crosby in Welcome Stranger

on BBC One London

with Joan Caulfield , Barry Fitzgerald
In this sentimental musical comedy, Bing plays a country doctor at odds with Dr McRory, who has been looking after the health of a small New England community for 35 years. But gradually the new arrival wins the hearts and respect of the local community. Crosby and Barry Fitzgerald are teamed in a film reminiscent of their great earlier success Going My Way.
