Harold Williamson Revisits the Survivors of Salford

It took a tenants' revolt to get them out of houses 100 years old. Families lived in hovels condemned as unfit for human habitation by the local council that rented them out. The tenants were rehoused in the kind of homes they thought would be perfect. But they acquired new problems they could not have foreseen.
