Tomorrow's World

on BBC One London

The series offering the latest news on science, medicine and technology.
Tonight, the story of Maroushka Monro, former agony aunt on teen magazine Just 17. Suffering from the rare disease torticollis, her neck was permanently twisted. Vivienne Parry follows Maroushka's quest to raise the £20,000 needed to pay for an operation in Canada. In the amazing procedure, nerves in the neck are cut, curing the muscle spasm and leaving the neck straight again. Maroushka tells of her anger at the way the operation is shunned in Britain.
And the Swedish "big brother" solution to dangerous driving: the electronic driving licence. When the courts impound the licence, the offender's car will never start again.
