Holbrook Jackson
Holbrook Jackson, who is known as an essayist and critic of literature and art, is in the unique position also of having had a wide business experience. He is the editorial director of an organisation which controls the largest group of trade journals in Europe, including several fashion journals for both men and women. This has given him an opportunity of observing the movements of fashion.
Holbrook Jackson has been one of the leaders of the movement for British fashions. He is a member of the Fashion Group of Great Britain, and one of the founders of the British Colour Council, of which he has been chairman, and a member of its Board of Directors since its foundation.
He has lectured to the Royal Society of Arts on the determination of fashion colours, and last year he broadcast a talk on 'Shopping and Taste' in the 'Nation of Shoppers' series.
