Sunday Play: Iph....

on BBC Radio 3

By Colin Teevan.
A forceful and resonant version of Iphigeneia in Aulis by Euripides. Agamemnon, leader of the Greeks, faces a dark choice on the brink of the Trojan War. He must choose between his love for his daughter, Iphigeneia, and his nation's ambitions to take revenge on Troy. Should he sacrifice Iphigeneia to the gods for a fair wind for the Greek fleet becalmed at Aulis or should he save his daughter? This production contains strong language.
Chorus: Amy Sands, Rosie Sands, Niki Doherty, Bronagh Taggart and Lucy McAnespie. Music by Mick Sands. Director Stephen Whght
