The poor boy who becomes a star is one of Hollywood's favourite stories, so MGM went to town with this biopic of the Naples urchin transformed into the greatest singer in the world. Enrico Caruso was an opera singer but this evergreen musical also includes popular favourites, 'Ave Maria' and 'Because'.
