Loving You

on BBC One London

The Saturday film starring Elvis Presley, Lizabeth Scott, Wendell Corey

A young hillbilly singer is hired by press agent Glenda Markle as a gimmick to boost the waning popularity of Tex Warner's cowboy band - and is an immediate success.
Elvis's role as Deke Rivers in this his second film paralleled his own phenomenal impact as a rock 'n' roll idol, complete with the small-town outrage at his hip-swinging sensuality which dogged Presley's early career.
The score is packed with hits of the time, including the chart-topping title song 'Loving you,' 'Got a lot of living to do,' 'Lonesome Cowboy' and 'Hot Dog.'
