A zany zigzag of puzzles and quizzes featuring The Scaffold
with special guest Freddie Trueman
and Wendy Padbury, The Fourmost

Inspector Boniface Investigates
and the answer to:
A rectangular island about three miles long and one mile wide is completely covered by long dried grass. Alone in the centre of the island is a shepherd with his flock. A wall of fire extending from the north coast to the south is fast spreading across the island, driven on by an eastern wind. Already the eastern third of the island has been consumed by the flames which are fast approaching the shepherd. The island is surrounded by shark infested waters - besides, he cannot swim - and he receives no outside aid. There are no helicopters, ships, planes, etc at his disposal. How then do the shepherd and his flock escape being burned to death?
