The Energy File

on BBC One London

with Raymond Baxter and Michael Buerk
Where Do We Go from Here?
What will we use for energy once the oil runs out? How will we run our buses and cars and heat our homes?
The sea, the sun and the wind offer intriguing alternatives. Large-scale experiments to tap the wave power of the Atlantic are about to start in Britain. A Midlands man has invented a car powered by solar cells; in Wales experimenters are harnessing the wind; and in Oxfordshire physicists are trying to duplicate the endless process which fuels the sun.
The Energy File tonight reports on the shape of things to come.
