at the BBC Theatre Organ
At the age of fifteen John Madin received his first cinema-organ appointment at a Sheffield cinema, where he succeeded Reginald Dixon. Later he was ' sent to Coventry', stayed there for five years, and gave his first broadcast from there in 1934. He went to the Hammersmith
Gaumont in 1936, and a year later gave his first broadcast on the BBC Theatre Organ.
