Orphy Robinson 's Code Five in Session
An exclusively recorded session featuring vibraphonist Orphy Robinson and his Code Five band. A one-time Jazz Warrior and Blue Note recording artist, Robinson's work with his current band explores "nouveau jazz swing", a form which combines straight-ahead jazz, West African influences and dance floor funk. Code Five features Jean Toussaint on saxophone, Pat Thomas on piano, Kenrick Rowe on drums and Gary Crosby on double bass.
Plus the pick of the best new jazz releases on CD. Presented by Jez Nelson.
