Human Rights Season: Panorama: When Good Men Do Nothing

on BBC One London

On the 50th anniversary of the Genocide Convention, Steve Bradshaw looks into the massacre of a million people in Rwanda in 1994, and the fatal consequences of the United Nations Security Council's failure to act on warnings.
The film also shows the impact of the west's inaction and withdrawal of troops on both ordinary Tutsis and politicians. Among those interviewed are the Czech ambassador to the United Nations and a survivor of the Auschwitz concentration camp who is now a member of the UN Human Rights Committee.

Note: as Panorama is topical and likely to re act to events in the news, its subject matter may change
