Cases of possession by the spirit of an ancestor or of a historical personage have often been recorded. There is also possession of Heroic Fury and by the Furies. A small and seemingly irrelevant incident may be enough to start any of these. On the other hand. a large relevant incident may trigger off what is merely a case of possession by Dogs.
