Of all the brass bands associated with big industrial concerns, Foden's is perhaps the best known, its remarkable competitive achievements having ensured this. Twice in its career the band has done the hat trick ' at the Crystal Palace, winning the premier trophy in 1932, 1933, and 1934, and again in" 1936, 1937, and 1938.
