The Origins of Capital and the Descent of Power A Circus Piece for Two Sound Sources Written by PHILIP OXMAN
An experiment in creating an intricate structure of poetic imagery in words and sound, rather than telling a dramatic story in the convemtion.al way. The basic image is that of a family. Nab, Mugg and their son Laffy, on display in a circus, which, as they are short of money and have to butcher their own animals in order to live, is also a butcher's shop.
Music composed by MALCOLM CLARKE realised at the Radiophon.ic Workshop by MALCOLM CLARKE and PHILIP OXMAN
Producer MARTIN ESSLIN
