As two new plays open, in Scarborough and at the National Theatre, Peter Tinniswood , creator of the near-legendary Uncle Mort, is continuing to add to his reputation as a novelist, dramatist and TV and radio writer. He talks to Paul Allen about his long stint as a writer-entertainer which began 30 years ago when he left his journalist job on a Sheffield newspaper to write gags for David Frost.
