The Jewellers' Dinner in Birmingham has been held for forty-two years. It was the occasion oi many famous speeches by Joseph Chamber am.
In 1925 his son, Sir Austen Chamberlain , then
Foreign Secretary, made there an important pronouncement on Egypt. The Prince of Wales was the guest of honour in 1928, and Prince
George last year. Birmingham Jewellers and Silversmiths Association gives valuable encouragement to students of design and craftmanship, as well as representing the industry in matters affecting its trade and prestige.
