In 1922, gold-digger Millie Dill mount takes a course as a stenographer with a view to finding a rich boss to marry. Determined to be thoroughly modern, she even bobs her hair before starting work as personal secretary to handsome - and eligible - young tycoon Trevor Gray don. The styles, fads and foibles of the 20s take a thorough ribbing in this infectious musical spoof with Julie Andrews at her sparkling best as Millie, the fortune-hunting flapper.
