Nature's Technique of Creation by Sir Gavin de Beer, F.R.S. Director of the British Museum
(Natural History)
This week sees the centenary of one of the greatest contributions to human thought-the communication to the Linnean Society in London by Charles Darwin and Alfred Russel Wallace of their theory of the origin of species by natural selection. In his talk, Sir Gavin examines the theory in the light of a hundred years of subsequent scientific development.
