Farming
Farming today means big business! In fact, it is Britain's biggest industry and half of our land is used for agricultural purposes of one kind or another. Although we import about half of our lamb and bacon, farming efficiency means we are self-sufficient in the production of beef. veal and poultry. But it is this ' efficiency' that often leads to a lack of understanding between ' town and ' country ' people.
