Requiem follows the progress of Cecilia through convent school in the 1950s. Like the patron saint after whom she is named, she loves music; but is It a sin to give way to such a love, or is denial better for the soul? With all the intensity of a teenager growing into adulthood Cecilia tries to solve the contradictions she feels surround her.
