In the Orinoco llanos of South America, the capybara lives alongside a rich variety of wild animals in a landscape parched during the dry season and inundated during the rains. Now efforts are being made in Venezuela to domesticate this extraordinary wild animal. which lives in packs and spends much of its time in the water.
