The Banns of Marriage is definitely a comedy with none of the pathos of Mr. Leo's earlier play, Mr. Sampson, which was broadcast some time ago. The play is constructed on the same plan, however; it is built up by one witty line after another, and contains some exceptionally good elements of surprise.
