From Community House, Glasgow. Conducted by the Rev. George F. MacLeod , M.C., D.D., Leader of the Iona Community
The Iona Community, founded in 1938, seeks to knit together the common life of man and the worship of the Church. For three months in the summer young ministers and artisans work and worship together as they rebuild the monastic part of Iona Abbey. Throughout the rest of the year, Community members are working in industrial parishes and new housing areas on the mainland of Scotland.
In conjunction with the Youth Committee of the Church of Scotland, the Iona Youth Trust is seeking to put some of their principles into practice. To this House, some two thousand young people have come to classes and joint activities to recover conviction of the Faith in modern terms. The congregation is composed of many who have frequented the House in recent years.
