Script by Joan Carr-Jones
To be repeated tomorroto at 11.0 a.m. Last week Dr. and Mrs. Dale were on holiday in Berwick. During the stay there, Dr. Dale hoped to persuade his father to retire. When out walking with Bo'sun, the dog jumped in the Tweed and was carried away by the current. Dr. Dale went in after him, but he had already disappeared. Mrs. Dale was distracted. Next day, while
Grandfather Dale was showing Mrs. Dale the cottage he would live in when he retired, they saw Dr. Dale coming along the road with Bo'sun. Mrs. Briggs went to see Mrs. Freeman to say she had seen the Wedgwood box taken. Mrs. Freeman told Bob. Bob and Peter Kingston decided to ask Bill Donaldson about it. He mistook their meaning, and thought they had discovered from Miss Pink that he was an imposter. Mrs. Mountford, hearing raised voices, came to see what was the matter. Bob told her Bill Donaldson was not her nephew from Australia. Mrs. Mountford ordered him to leave immediately. Miss Marchbanks went to Mrs. Freeman and confessed to taking the Wedgwood box.
