A series of dramas that tell the stories behind the songs opens with this new two-part drama, a version of Henry Murger 's tales of Bohemian life in Paris in the 1840s, translated and dramatised by John Clifford.
The inspiration for Puccini's famous opera La Boheme, Murger's tales are largely autobiographical.
