Because Mrs. Dale had a bad cold, Mrs. Alaggs agreed to stay on for another week at Virginia Lodge. After Dr. Fenimore had advised him to do so, Ivor decided to accept Dr. Dale's offer to amalgamate the two practices. Bob and Caradoc were working very hard, preparing for the opening of the garage. Janet told Caradoc she couldn't go out with him one evening, and went dancing with Mr. Haynes, a business man who stayed regularly at the Sutherland. The Dales went to see Gwen and David's new house, and Gwen asked them to come there for Christmas.
