from Sidmouth
Cliff Michelmore returns to the scene of his childhood holidays in this south Devon resort. He meets TONY RALLS, who uses his past experiences as a heroin addict to help prisoners and young people through their problems. Cliff also assesses the form of MARY THOMSON , one of Britain's up-and-coming young horsewomen, as she prepares to fulfil her ambition of representing her country in the 1988 Olympics. Visitors and local people sing their songs of praise in the Connaught Gardens on the sea shore.
Alleluia, sing to Jesus (Hyfrydol); Ye holy angels bright (Darwall's 148th); I'll praise my maker while I've breath (Monmouth); Lord Jesus Christ
(Living Lord); God of grace and God of glory (Regent Square); Tell out, my soul (Woodlands); And can it be?
(Sagina); Thou, whose almighty word (Moscow)
