Height of Courage

on BBC Two England

In 1994, just three days before his 89th birthday, American ex-serviceman Norman Vaughan became the first person to climb Antarctica's 10,000-foot Mount Vaughan - named after him during an expedition in 1928. This film follows Vaughan over a two-year period, in his quest to reach the summit of his mountain namesake.
