Appeal on behalf of St. Joseph's Hospice, Hackney, by Pamela Frankau
Contributions will be gratefully acknowledged and should be addressed to Miss Pamela Frankau, [address removed]
St Joseph's Hospice was founded more than fifty years ago by the Irish Sisters of Charity for the caTe of the aged sick and those in the last stages of illness, regardless of race or creed. Owing to the great demand for admission, a new wing containing all modern equipment for the comfort of patients was recently opened at a cost of £ 120,000. Of this £ 70,000 has been paid, but a further £ 50,000 is urgently needed to clear the debt.
