Leighton House
This week join SNAGGE visits a home that epitomises the Victorian era. the house of a former president of the Royal Academy, Lord Leighton. Leighton travelled widely and developed an interest in Eastern art that led him to build in his London home an Arab hall, complete with a fountain and Oriental tiles. Upstairs is the Great Studio which was used by models and art dealers about whom Leighton once said: ' I never enter into discussion about my pictures with gentlemen such as yourselves. I have given you my terms-that is quite enough.' Producer ROGER CLARK
