Appeal on behalf of THE MUSICIANS' BENEVOLENT
FUND, by Mr. CHARLES B. COCHRAN
There are thousands of musicians at the present moment out of employment owing to the ' talkies ' and mechanical music. Many are over the age of sixty, and will never obtain employment again as musicians. Some are ending their days in the workhouse or infirmary. There is no such thing as a convalescent home for musicians in this country. The Musicians' Benevolent Fund is entirely supported by voluntary subscriptions, and helps every class of musician, irrespective of . whether they are members of any society. It distributes its entire funds for the relief of distress in the musical profession.
