The series in which Ruby Wax journeys back to her homeland to uncover remarkable people and situations in American society. This week Wax goes in search of the heartland of the USA, and meets members of a fundamentalist church in West Virginia who believe that the Bible has told them to handle deadly snakes and drink poison. She then attends a service where rattlesnakes and copperheads are freely handled and strychnine is consumed.
