This tough links course was the venue for Henry Cotton 's famous victory in 1934 where he scored a remarkable 65 to end a decade of American domination. The British challenge this year includes NICK FALDO , SANDY LYLE , SAM TORRANCE and PAUL WAY but the West German BERNHARD LANGER , runner-up last year, will be highly favoured.
