During its Regency heyday the Ptttville Pump Room was the largest and most significant of several buildings where the renowned Cheltenham Spa Waters could betaken. Today it is an impressive venue for chamber music at the Cheltenham
Festival. Chris de Souza is there forthe start of the second week of mid-morning concerts from the 2002 Festival, today featuring the Belcea Quartet with the Polish pianist Piotr Anderszewski.
