Cardiff Singer of the World

Petroc Trelawny and Gwenan Edwards introduce the final of this year's Cardiff Singer of the World competition from St David's Hall in Cardiff. Five singers from the original 25 take part in the concert, accompanied by the BBC National Orchestra of Wales under conductors Paul Daniel and Carlo Rizzi and by piano accompanists Ingrid Surgenor and Phillip Thomas. The panel of judges includes Dame Joan Sutherland, Carlo Bergonzi and Sherrill Milnes and is chaired by Anthony Freud , general director of Welsh National Opera.
