Continuing the series tracing the work of Argentinian composer Alberto Ginastera , well known in the USA but still considered obscure in Britain. The second of three programmes explores the creative evolution of the composer, the presence of Argentinian milonga folk themes in his early music, and his second string quartet, a turning point in the compositional style which he described as neo-expressionism.
