The Saturday Film: The Legend of Walks Far Woman

on BBC One London

starring
Raquel Welch with Bradford Dillman Nick Mancuso Montana 1874: forced to leave her
Blackfoot tribe because she has killed to avenge her husband's death, an Indian woman wanders across the plains until she is taken prisoner by the Sioux. Fortunately she is able to persuade them that her mother was a Sioux, and a new life begins for Walks Far Woman. The rich and colourful lifestyle of Indians still free to roam the hunting grounds of Montana and South Dakota makes a fascinating background to this story of a most unusual woman.
