by an American
This is the second talk in this series which, as the title suggests, is not meant to be taken too seriously. Various people — many of them English-are to speak about some of the characteristic failings in the English from which they may have suffered. For their own protection all the speakers will be anonymous.
The series opened last week with a criticism by ' a civilised man ', and today English listeners are to hear what an American thinks of them. Others scheduled to speak include a Scotsman, a retired colonial, an Englishwoman on English men, and, it is hoped, an Englishman on English women.
