When the Dancing Doll, a charter boat, arrives back in San Francisco Bay there is no one aboard. Her captain, Jerry Denton, has disappeared. This makes a double investigation for Ironside who is concerned with rumours of a full-scale gathering of gangland chiefs in the Bay area. Do the two things tie up?
