by Jane Austen, read by Mr. RONALD WATKINS
WE resume ' Pride and Prejudice ' with Mr.
Watkins, who takes us from Chapter XI to XIV today, and to the end of Chapter XVI on Thursday. We left Elizabeth Bennet last week at Netherfield, where she spends a typical evening; the excitements of reading and cards being diversified by a little music and a ' turn round the room.' She returns home to hear of the impending arrival of Mr. Collins, ' that odious man,' who is. nevertheless, received with great politeness by the whole family, and ends his first evening with the Bennets with a peaceful game of back-gammon, oblivious of the storm in front of him.
