Polish violinist and conductor
Szymon Goldberg was one of the finest artists of the century. Fellow musician Eleanor Warren and Goldberg pupil Richard Deakin talk to Gordon Stewart about him. The music, in which Goldberg appears as both violinist and conductor, includes
Haydn's Violin Concerto in C and Schubert's Symphony No 5 with the Bournemouth Sinfonietta. Plus
Mozart's Violin Sonata in A, recorded at the Queen Elizabeth Hall with Radu Lupu , and Bach's Brandenburg Concerto No 3 in G.
