Jeremy Clarkson shows, they can still manage to steal the show sometimes. Researching the show gave Clarkson "an opportunity to look back on some of the programmes I used to enjoy when I was a kid.
Somebody actually paid me to watch The Persuaders all day long!" But he ranged wider than that in the television archives, hunting down star cars in everything from period drama to children's shows.
