On location in the banana republic of Parador, struggling actor Jack Noah is offered the role of a lifetime. The all-powerful dictator is secretly dead and Jack is the only one who can fill his jackboots. He has to make a choice - disguise himself as the leader and face a revolution, or refuse and face a firing squad.
