Centre in London. His musical choices include archive recordings of Verdi's // Trovatore, Schubert's
Piano Sonata in B flat, D960, played by Artur Schnabel , chamber music by Dvorak and Beethoven and the first song from Schubert's
Schwanengesang sung by Olaf Bar. Reflecting his long connection with eastern Europe as a journalist and political correspondent for the BBC, John Tusa also chooses an extraordinary arrangement of the Soviet national anthem played by the Bolshoi Theatre Orchestra.
