The Cathedral Church of St Peter in Exeter
In the midst of one of the most ambitious cathedral restoration projects ever undertaken, including the reopening of local medieval quarries for stone replacement, Michael Oliver talks to some of those involved in the life and preservation of Exeter Cathedral. It is remarkable for its two Norman towers and carved west front, its unique vaulted interior and the unparalleled survival of 13th- and 14thcentury colour stone in the sculptures.
