Roy Dillon is a small-time Los Angeles con man or "grifter". When his estranged mother Lilly comes to town on a racing scam for the mob, their reunion proves painful, especially when Roy's devious girlfriend Myra reveals her own criminal inclinations. The results prove brutally tragic.
